Washington State Cabooses

I was first contacted by Roger Kirkpatrick 3 or 4 (or more) years ago when he'd stumbled on my web site. He was looking for photos of cabooses. I hadn't taken much notice of them as my focus at the time was on steam locomotives. My coorespondence with Roger at the time got me to thinking and looking at cabooses and I started taking photos of them when I encountered them. I finally decided it was time to get busy and start working with Roger again on trying to pull together an accurate list of cabooses in Washington.

Any additions or changes that I make to Roger's notes will be green.

This caboose is at the Red Barn (christmas) tree farm in McMillan, which is just south of Sumner. Also at the site is a signal from the Sumner NP depot and a small 18 inch gauge railroad that operates during the Christmas season. I have a photo of the stencils if anyone is interested.
